Vacation skincare and makeup

April 23, 2017

Hi guys!

Long time no blogging! It's been about 2 weeks since I got back from New Zealand :( For people that don't know I'm originally from NZ! So it was so much fun to show my husband where I grew up and where we used to live when I was younger. We met up with my parents and sisters there who travelled from Ireland. Overall it was an absolutely amazing experience and I love going home.

I brought a lot of makeup with me so I could show my sisters and mum some of the makeup I have racked up whilst living in the States. I brought my fun colourful lipsticks, my ABH Moonchild palette, ABH Modern Renaissance and the Tarte Pro Palette.

Before I left, my best friend and I went to Ulta. I picked up a few makeup items. Such as an Ulta Dual Action Cleansing brush basically like the Clairisonic brushes but wow I love it and it has become a part of my routine! I also got Cetaphil face wash which is honestly the best face wash I've used. It has cleared up my skin like no other and I just feel so fresh after using it. Plus it smells so good. I got the Mario Badescu facial spray in cucumber and it is so refreshing and amazing to use when super humid!

I barely wore makeup when we were in NZ. I think 3/4 times for 3 weeks! Like the first 2 days and then once for my cousins wedding, plus I got to do my sister's makeup for our cousins wedding which was fun!

It was Summer in NZ so that's also why I didn't wear makeup. It can get super humid and it was in the high 20C (Sorry guys I don't know farenheit and really don't care lol). I got a lot of sunburn so I had to moisturise so it wouldn't peel. I had been using the First Aid beauty mosituriser for my face but decide to use it for my sun burn and it was a true game changer. It helped my dad with his bright red sunburn! Honestly, everyone I put the moisturiser on loved it. No peeling, super moisturising!! I'm going  to get a big bottle of the moisturiser because it seems to be the best moisturiser that works for me. All my dry patches are done and my skin was so soft. I think that was probably the best my skin has ever been!

That was pretty much all I was doing for skin care and drinking heaps of water! Plus I loved not wearing foundation and having hundreds of freckles on my face! I live in places that can go long periods without sun so all of my freckles disappear but I love when they come back.

As always thank you for reading and see you next week for my next post (which I've already written!) Slowly getting more organised with my blog hehe!
