Get Ready With Me!

March 05, 2016

Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog! As promised from last week, here is a Get Ready With Me!

So here’s my face without any makeup. Please no screaming, I already know! My face has been washed and moisturised. I used my Boots Cleansing Gel mentioned a couple of posts back and used my Garnier moisturiser.

Being the idiot I am, I forgot to use my Smashbox Hydrating Primer and went right in with my foundation. I used my Makeup Forever HD foundation and I’m shade 117(Y=225) in that. I used the new WetnWild Flat Top Brush. Can I just say WOW! These brushes are amazing. For under $3 pick some up, I promise you won’t be disappointed! This has become my main foundation brush, no more beauty blender for me!

Next I used my Rimmel Brow Stylist Designer. I have the shade brunette. I used the spoolie to shape my eyebrows then I used the pencil to fill in my brows where I think it’s needed.

If I’m doing a dramatic eye shadow, I will do that first before foundation. However, as I was going with a more neutral eye I done my foundation first. For this look I used my Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani palette. I used Anaheim all over my lid with a WetnWild eye shadow brush (This one is my least favourite brush). I then took Zone and put that in my crease with the WetnWild Crease brush. To finish the look off I put Pop all over my lid for a little sparkle. I also used Selfie from the stardust palette for the brow bone highlight.

To set my foundation I used my Essence All About Matt! Powder, this stuff works amazingly. It doesn’t cake up. I used a big fluffy brush to sweep up the product and applied it in a downward motion on my face.

Next I contoured my face using my Lorac Pro Contour palette. I picked this Contour kit over the Anastasia Beverly Hills one. I’m sure a lot of you are like what!!!?? Is she insane!? Maybe but this was a good deal. I heard a lot of mixed reviews about the ABH contour. So I picked this one up for under $40 it also comes with a great contour brush. I took the beige highlight and swept that under my eyes, down the bridge of my nose and a little on my chin. To contour, I used the light contour. I started at the top of my ear then swept that down to where the corner of my mouth is but don't go all the way to your mouth!! I stop where my nose is. Then blend that puppy so there's no harsh lines!

In the Lorac Pro Contour palette there is a highlight in there but my Anastasia Beverly Hills highlight always pulls through amazingly. When you want a glow, pick this baby up!! I have So Hollywood and wow! I love this highlighter so much, I find myself admiring it a lot haha!! I used a fan brush to apply this to the top of my cheekbones. Can we just admire that glow though, yaaasss!!

I put mascara on last. I used the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. This stuff is amazing! It’s only a travel size as I got it in the Stardust palette. I can’t believe I haven’t been using this mascara for the past few months, game changer!

Finally, we are finishing up with a liquid lipstick. This is Aria from Stila. Can I just say how much I love this shade! Ugh. I get compliments every time I wear this shade. This is a mini from the Eternally Yours Set. However, each full sized shade retails for $24.

As always thank you for reading and hope you have a wonderful weekend!
